A healthy diet
Eating well can help prevent dental problems, including tooth
decay and dental erosion. |
 |
Dental erosion occurs when the
enamel covering your teeth gets worn away by the acid found
in fizzy drinks and citrus fruit juices. It's a good idea,
therefore, to avoid drinking them in large amounts.
Smoking and drinking excessive amounts of alcohol can also
cause problems for your mouth. Both have been linked to mouth
cancer which kills thousands of people every year.
If you'd like to know more, please feel free to ask us and
don't forgot to visit your dentist regularly for a check-up. |

Sugar is another major cause of tooth decay.
That's because it turns plaque to acid, which in turn starts
attacking your teeth. To help avoid this, brush your teeth
to remove plaque and cut down on sugary foods and drinks.
As a preventative practice, we'll examine
your mouth, as well as your teeth, so it's important to visit
us regularly - even if you're a denture-wearer. |
